Accessibility
Darwa aims to make its public website and product usable with assistive technology and without a pointing device.
- Our engineering target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA; this is a target, not an unqualified certification.
- Core actions should be keyboard operable, have visible focus, and expose accessible names and status messages.
- We review text alternatives and colour contrast and provide a route to report barriers.
1. Our target
We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the engineering target for new and materially changed user interfaces. Accessibility is tested through code review, automated checks, keyboard use, zoom, reduced-motion settings, and selected screen-reader flows. Automated tests cannot establish full conformance.
2. Supported access
- Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, tables, and accessible names for controls.
- Keyboard access and visible focus for interactive product actions.
- Text alternatives for informative images and empty alternatives for decorative images.
- Responsive layouts, browser zoom, dark and light themes, and reduced-motion support where animation is used.
- Error and status text that does not rely on colour alone.
3. Known limitations
Complex code editors, terminals, charts, third-party payment fields, and customer-deployed applications may have limitations or depend on the accessibility support of their upstream provider. Darwa does not claim that every route or third-party component has completed a manual assistive-technology audit.
4. Report a barrier
Email accessibility@darwa.co with the page or feature, what you were trying to do, your browser and assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing them, and a way to contact you. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, or other secrets. We acknowledge reports and provide an accessible alternative or remediation update where reasonably possible.
